Woo, semester is over. I've got time to do stuff. I like doing stuff.

I've decided to switch gears a bit. I've tried on like, two separate occasions today and the day before to get a film crew together for uncharted but there's always that X factor of like, 2-3 people that I just can't seem to get to fill the game. Someone pointed out that there would probably be a lot more people who had the game after xmas, and that it would be a lot easier to get 10 people together after that point. That person is very, very right, though I can't remember who the fuck it was.

So rather than flail around constantly failing at what I'm trying to do like I've been doing, I figure I'll just take some time away from uncharted, work on the next Master Chief episode, do the audio for the next brawlgasm and give it to Tom, get some animation practice with flash, and by the time I'm done with that the whole Xmas and "ZOMG I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANYTHING BUT MW2!" craze will wear down a bit and more people will have the game to help.

Don't get me wrong, I really want to MAKE lead, because I'm really satisfied with the stuff i've written for it so far, but honestly, right now the resources are so limited that trying to force it out only results in a whole lot of nothing getting accomplished, which aggrovates me just as much as it does you. I have so many fucking ideas and scripts that pile up around me that if I never had another idea in my life I could probably make videos for another year or two before running out of material. Though at the production rate I've been moving at it could probably hold out for like, 5.

I could probably ramble on like this all night, but if I where a bad demoman I wouldn't be here discussin' it with ya.

Flash. Ho Boy.

So yeah, I'm learning how to use flash right now. I plan on doing a series in it eventually, but not until I'm way better with it. As of now really the only thing I've animated is a giant dick that shoots laser beams, which says a lot about both my animation skills and maturity, but I'll probably do some shorts to get some practice sometime soon. Hopefully I can get good at it because you're much less limited in animation than something like machinima.

Just thought I would take some time out of procrastinating on studying for finals week to tell you that. And it's raining. woo. Fettuccine Alfredo sucks, blow me Sp00n.

Anyways, a few announcements, since I usually do these in huge burst posts, so I'll bold the topics so you can pick and choose what you give a shit about.

Brawlgasm
First off, good news for brawlgasm fans. I didn't officially announce this (though I did imply it heavily) because I was pretty sure I would lose half my fanbase instantly, but honestly I was never really planning to make another brawlgasm again aside from maybe a half assed one like, a year down the line. However, a glimmering ray of hope that would do my work for me has emerged, and that is my good friend TomKitsune who will take over pretty much all the filming and editing for me. He is awesome and you should subscribe to him and shit.

So what does this mean? First of all, it means that the quality of it is going to go waaaaaaay up because honestly I care so little about brawl machinima that I would never put up with the pain in the ass engine long enough to make a cinematically appealing episode. Second, it will still keep it's trademark speed and randomness, really the ONLY thing that will change is that it will look better. I will still do all the audio work. Third, you now have to like tomkitsune if you like brawlgasm. You can hate him as a person, you can hate him as a writer, machinimator, or what have you, but if you like brawlgasm and are reading this you are hereby obligated to like Tom, because without him it wouldn't continue. Besides why the fuck would you not like tom? He's fucking awesome.

Lead
The first episode is going slow. I wrote the script for it before I had the game and as such I didn't really know the limitations of the engine, meaning to do certain things i have to trick the game and weasel around it with visual angles, shit of that nature. Not really a HUGE problem but it's a minor setback. I have to reshoot a scene and a couple of shots so i'm very unenthusiastic to do that because it just went sooo fucking well the last time. But anyways hopefully I can finish it within the next few weeks, though I could see it not getting finished until after the semester is over. Future episodes will go much better because I'll know what the fuck I'm doing and I won't write stuff that I can't DO.

Master Chief
OOOH fuck do I want to stop dealing with this pain-in-the-ass uncharted camera mode and go back to some good old fashioned halo shit. After the first episode of lead is done I'll get to work on Master Chief right away and I'll probably even finish it rather quickly being as I think halo machinima is really easy to do now.

Adventures of GMX7
There seems to be some confusion as to what this is. "Adventures of GMX7" is just sort of the name for really random shit that I do using myself as a character. The "Episodes" won't be called "Adventures of GMX7 episode 1" and so on, they will just be called something relating to their subject matter. For example, the first (and so far only existing) episode is Palinator. I'll probably make a playlist for shit like this that you can subscribe to and such.

Production in general
Ok, so I just learned that this semester ends on December 16th. So from then until about February or March I will have a shitload of free time. Granted I'm extremely lazy with machinima and shit because it's just sort of a side hobby that I kick around when I'm bored, but if everything goes according to plan youll see a couple of episodes and a few shorts in that time zone. Also, you should see an improvement in video quality as I'm getting a new TV some time this week and it more than likely will have outputs, meaning I will no longer have to run the cables through a distribution amplifier to capture footage. Yay.

Lead Trailer, updates, and shit

sup. If youre a moron and aren't subscribed on youtube then I think I should inform you that the super badass trailer for Lead was released a while back. Check it out here.

So yeah. I've been really fucking busy lately. College has completely taken over my life, I haven't gotten more than 3 hours of sleep a night or talked to anyone in the outside world in the last 2 months, so i haven't done anything at all on the next chief or the first episode of lead.

Not so sure about brawlgasm. When it comes to that I've never even been a fan of my own work, and now everyone expects brawl machinima to be a cinematic masterpiece. Honestly I really don't give a shit about it anymore, and if I put effort into it it's by far the most time consuming engine to record in, so I'm like "fuck that" at the moment. At this point I could probably make a much better episode of Chief or Lead with the same amount of time anyways, so it doesn't seem like a good time investment. The whole brawl machinima community has gone to shits in the last year or so with all the serious machinima featuring furries and lame anime plots, and it's not really a community that I'm eager to be associated with. I still have a back category of ideas for it so I might get around to them eventually, but if the future episodes seem half assed to the extreme don't be surprised. Then again brawlgasm has always been half assed to the extreme, so you might like that.

So I'm not going to be very productive for the next month or two. I'm not taking a winter session. Not sure when fall ends but when it does I'll probably produce a shitload of stuff and then slow down around spring. Oh well. At least I'm still more productive than shippiddge.

Oh yeah... I have this thing. How come I can never remember that this exists when I'm coherent. Fuck... ok umm... hopefully I can finish the first ACTUAL trailer for Lead Tuesday (that's... well today I guess, technically.) but then again you guys know how good I am at meeting my own deadlines. Remember when I said that I was going to make two mater chief episodes over the summer and then my capture card broke? WELL APPARENTLY YOU FUCKING DO BECAUSE YOU LOOOOOOOOOVE TO BITCH ABOUR THAT!!!! >:( So yeah. It's gonna be cool and hopefully set expectations way too high so that everyone will watch the first episode and then be like "The trailer made this seem way more awesome but it was alright I guess" and then rate it 5 stars but not favorite it because they don't love me like you do. It's ok you can tell me.... what the fuck was I on about? Screw it, I'm going to lay in bed and not be able to sleep for like, the third night in a row, then I'm going to create an idealized persona of myself and make soap out of people fat and start an underground club that you aren't supposed to talk about.
